UTME: Print notification slip from March 6, JAMB tells candidates




The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed candidates for the 2018 UTME to start printing their examination notification slip from March 6.
The board’s Head of Media and Information Department, Fabian Benjamin, said in Lagos on Sunday that arrangements had been concluded for the successful conduct of the exam scheduled to hold from March 9 to March 17.
“We have successfully conducted the Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday, February 26, and based on that, we can confidently say, we are good to go.
“The mock UTME was to expose the candidates to the process as well as test the level of preparedness of the various centres.

  1. The mock examination shall be held on 26 February.
  2. Go to JAMB mock slip reprint page by clicking http://jamb.org.ng/efacility/checkmockcentre
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number /Email Address
  4. Click on “Check My Details”
  5. You’ll be displayed with your JAMB mock examination details showing your venue, time and seat number.

2018 UTME: JAMB Fixes Date For Mock Examination






The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Sunday said the much anticipated conduct of the 2018 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) would now hold on February 26.
The board’s Head, Media and Information, Fabian Benjamin, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
According to him, a total of 245,753 of the 1,652,795 candidates that registered for this year’s  UTME are expected to write the test.
“We are happy to announce to the public that the board has concluded arrangement for the conduct of the mock UTME, slated for Monday, February 26.
“This is irrespective of the ongoing strike embarked upon by members of the non-academic  unions of federal universities nationwide.
“Candidates will soon be informed on when to print notifications for the examination and in addition, notifications will be sent through e-mails and text messages on the schedules of their examination,” Dr. Benjamin said.

Kaduna APC Caucus Suspends El-Rufai For Six Months


A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state has suspended Nasir el-Rufai, governor of the state, for six months.
El-Rufai’s suspension is coming three days after the faction, known as Kaduna Restoration Group, issued him a query and suspended three of his aides.
The faction led by Suleiman Hunkuyi, senator representing Kaduna north central, had accused el-Rufai of  “an [PHOTO] Obasanjo Calls For Reconciliation, Oneness As He Attends Church With Jonathan In Bayelsati- party activities and anti-human activities”.

How Re-Print JAMB Original UTME Slip Online

Reprinting of JAMB registration slip is quite easy.  All you would be required to reprint your JAMB UTME registration slip that reflect your examination date is your registration number. Follow the steps outlined below for the process:
  1. First, you go to the JAMB website @ https://jamb.org.ng
  2. Login to your Jamb Profile by entering your email and Password.
  3. You should look at the right corner of the page; there is a bold, green heading with words ‘Re-Print Your Slip’. Then click on it.
  4. You should write your JAMB registration number in the provided space and then click ‘Re-Print’.
  5. You will get the information of your exact date of the exam you’ve received; time and also venue will appear on the slip now.

Breaking News: Evans The Kidnapper Plead Guilty In Court

Suspected billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, better known as Evans, has pleaded guilty for kidnapping before a judge of the Ikeja High Court.
Evans the kidnapper was arraigned alongside five others on a two-count charge of conspiracy and kidnapping.
The judge ordered that all the male defendants be remanded at Kirikiri Maximum Prison while the female defendant, who pleaded not guilty to all the charges, be kept at the Kirikiri Female Prison.
He adjourned till October 19.

  The Nigerian Army in a joint operation with the Nigerian Air Force has killed five top Boko Haram commanders in the North-east region.
In a statement issued by Sani Usman, who is the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, he confirmed that a large number of the terrorists were killed, including five commanders of the group.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, was recently criticized by Nigerians after they fixed minimum cut off marks for admissions into universities in Nigeria at 120, polytechnics and colleges of education at 100, while that of innovative enterprising institutes at 110.
Now Institutions are, however, at liberty to raise their cut off marks for admission above the minimum set by JAMB and they sure did. The Senate and management of tertiary institutions in Nigeria have sent their cut-off marks for admissions to JAMB and universities like Unilag, University of Ibadan, Uniben amongst others fixed their marks at 200.
